Our stores are located in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. You can visit the 'Locations' tab under either Treasure Hunt or Dirt Cheap to find the store nearest you.
What are your stores' hours?
Our Treasure Hunt stores are open from 9 AM - 8 PM, Monday thru Saturday.
Our Dirt Cheap stores are open from 9 AM - 8 PM, Monday thru Saturday.
Why are you closed on Sunday?
We have chosen to recognize Sunday as a day of rest, in order to allow our associates more time for family.
Do all locations have the same merchandise?
Because our merchandise supply is unpredictable, not all locations will receive the same assortment of merchandise. For this reason, it pays to check out as many of our locations as possible.
How can I find what kind of merchandise is currently on sale?
By signing up for our Insider Newsletter you will automatically receive our email alerts. Our email alerts will keep you informed of what new stocks are opening the day before the rest of the public. How often do your stores receive new merchandise?
Our store inventories are updated several times each week, which is all the more reason to sign up for the email alerts and stay up to speed.
Does Dirt Cheap or Treasure Hunt sell merchandise online?
Because of the unpredictable supply of our merchandise and the fact that our inventory changes so rapidly, it is not practical for us to sell merchandise online.
What is the return policy?
Treasure Hunt
We will be happy to refund your money or exchange an item. All you have to do is return the item to the Treasure Hunt store where the item was purchased. We only require you to present a cash register receipt and return the item within 3 days of the purchase date (7 days for electronic items and appliances). However, please understand we will not give refunds on (or exchange) books, cologne, software that has been opened, swimwear, undergarments or merchandise that was liquidated at 90% off or more.

Does Dirt Cheap or Treasure Hunt offer gift cards?
Yes. As gift cards are becoming more and more popular, we wanted to offer our Bargain Hunter's the opportunity to secure the gift that keeps on giving. We offer gift cards at all locations. Just ask one of our cashiers and they will be glad to help you.
What is the benefit of shopping at Dirt Cheap and Treasure Hunt?
The benefit of shopping at Treasure Hunt and Dirt Cheap is that you can find the same quality retail merchandise at lower prices than you could find anywhere else. You spend less and get more for your money. Also, you may find regional items that you may not find anywhere else. We purchase our inventories from around the world and may carry items that you would only find in those areas or regions. We add new merchandise several times a week so it's a new adventure every time you shop, making bargain hunting fun and interesting and even therapeutic. You save more, spend less and always leave knowing you got more for your money.
How can you sell your goods so cheap?
We form relationships with key suppliers and provide a valuable service to them by buying their problem inventories. Their problem becomes your opportunity. By providing a valuable service to our suppliers we are able to obtain merchandise at a fraction of the original cost, which in turn allows us to pass the savings on to you.
Doesn't salvage mean that it's just junk or throw away?
Salvage in the retail industry can have various definitions but most of the time it is defined by anything that has value in a secondary market. Salvage can be brand new, still in the box and just surplus inventory or it can be an insurance claim. If it's unsellable in the beginning we simply dispose of it and move on. If it's junk or broken or of no value, then we don't waste our time putting it in the stores. Our Creed governs our decisions and motives and we are committed to selling desirable merchandise at an honest and cheap price.
How are you different from thrift or charity stores?
We are completely different from thrift or charity stores because we don't sell donated used merchandise.
Can I buy a Dirt Cheap or a Treasure Hunt franchise?
All Dirt Cheap and Treasure Hunt stores are company owned. We do not sell franchises.
Can I buy stock in Dirt Cheap or Treasure Hunt?
Neither Dirt Cheap nor Treasure Hunt are publicly traded companies.
